USAID South Asia Trade Project - International Technology Advisor

  • As the International Technology Advisor for the USAID South Asia Trade Project, Kent Gring led the transition of the Pakistan Ministry of Trade's anti-dumping case management from a traditional paper-based system to a sophisticated digital infrastructure.

  • Transitioning from a traditional system to a digital infrastructure required navigating numerous challenges, including server acquisition, installation, configuration, and ensuring the system's integration with existing processes.

  • Kent oversaw the strategic acquisition of servers, ensuring they were robust and scalable. He played a crucial role in the installation and configuration processes, leveraging Microsoft product foundations to ensure compatibility and future scalability. Additionally, he coordinated with a local Microsoft training provider to empower technical personnel and end-users with the skills needed to maximize the system's functionality.

  • The delivered electronic case management system marked a significant improvement in the efficiency and accessibility of anti-dumping case management processes. This system was one of Pakistan's first electronic case management systems, representing a major step forward in modernizing the Ministry of Trade's operations.
