Welcome to G Group, LLC. My name is Kent, and I am the founder and managing consultant. With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of business and technology, I have dedicated my career to helping organizations navigate and thrive in an ever-changing landscape.

My Professional Journey

My career began in the US Navy, where I managed change requests for a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in drydock and supported the command’s executive functions. This early experience in project management set the stage for a career defined by strategic planning and meticulous execution. Over the years, I have worked with a wide array of clients, including US and international government entities and private sector organizations. My professional journey includes significant roles at esteemed consulting firms such as KPMG, BearingPoint, Deloitte, Attain, Guidehouse, and Tetra Tech.

I obtained my PMP certification in 2007 and have since managed dozens of projects, including major Army programs and and most recently serving as Deputy Component Lead for the US State Department sponsored Afghan justice case management system. In this role, I transitioned from program administrative management and IT asset management to crisis management during the fall of Kabul, ensuring the safety of over 130 local national staff and their families.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

My entrepreneurial drive led me to found the Deloitte Technology for Emerging Markets Community of Practice (Tech4EM CoP). This initiative advocated for the use of technology in developing regions and resulted in new business proposals with entities like the World Bank. Building on my Big 4 experience, I have focused on establishing and growing G Group, LLC. By leveraging the power of AI, I have developed a comprehensive consulting infrastructure with over 100 guides, templates, solution approaches, and collaboration portals.

Embracing Ambiguity

Consulting often involves navigating ambiguity. My experience during the fall of Kabul, where I pivoted from IT asset management to crisis management, exemplifies my ability to adapt and lead in challenging environments. At G Group, we partner with you to achieve your goals, particularly when you sense lesser-defined and evolving requirements. Our expertise in managing ambiguity ensures that we can help you turn uncertainty into strategic opportunities. My training as an Army Armor Officer taught me that plans seldom survive beyond the line of departure.

Currently based in Thailand and elsewhere, I lead G Group as a digital nomad.
