USAID and International Development Blog: Sharing Insights and Experiences
International Cooperation
At G Group, we believe that international development is more than just policy and programs—it is about people, experiences, and real-world impact. With that in mind, we are launching a dedicated USAID and International Development Blog as an additional platform for sharing insights, perspectives, and knowledge. 🌍✍️
This new blog aims to serve as a collaborative space where professionals, former USAID staff, and international development experts can contribute experiences, lessons learned, and thought leadership. Whether you are currently involved in USAID projects, a former USAID professional, or someone engaged in global development, we invite you to participate by sharing your perspectives and expertise.
✨ Why This Blog?
The landscape of international development is constantly evolving. From shifting donor priorities to the integration of AI and technology in program implementation, development professionals face an array of challenges and opportunities. By creating this space, we seek to foster meaningful discussions around critical development issues, innovative approaches, and practical strategies for driving impact. 💡🌱
While my direct experience with USAID and the U.S. State Department has been limited to a few engagements, they remain my favorite among dozens of projects, and many of my closest colleagues come from these efforts. Through this blog, I want to offer a space for others to share their insights, discuss challenges, and contribute to the broader development community. I also share my personal journey of navigating stop-work challenges and career reinvention at My Stop Work Journey, which ultimately led to the development of G Group’s Collaboration Services to support professionals in building sustainable consulting careers. 🚀
📌 Call for Contributions
One example of a great initiative is an anthology project led by Emily Hogue, which seeks to collect non-fiction stories from current and former USAID staff. This effort aims to highlight the real impact of USAID programs on individuals and communities worldwide.
🌏📖 Those interested in contributing can find more details via Emily Hogue’s LinkedIn profile or contact Emily directly at 📧 emilyjhogue@gmail.com .
We encourage you to engage with the G Group USAID and International Development Blog by sharing your own experiences, insights, and best practices. Whether it's reflections on past projects, thoughts on development trends, or actionable recommendations, this platform is open to contributors who want to make a meaningful impact. 🤝
